Heartland Expands Our In-Home Program

In Late May Heartland Independent Living Center (HILC) received approval from the Missouri Department of Mental Health to provide the Individualized Supports & Services (ISS) program. Heartland officially initiated this additional, new In-Home service on July 16. HILC ISS In-Home Care provides daily living assistance to clients with developmental disabilities. One of the major advantages of the program is the opportunity for clients to participate in social interaction in their community.

“Heartland is very pleased to be able to partner with the Department of Mental Health, the Rolla Regional Center and the Senate Bill 40 Boards in Gasconade, Maries and Franklin counties,” stated HILC Executive Director Pat Chambers. “In-Home services for individuals with developmental disabilities are difficult to find in rural Missouri, so we believe we will be helping to fill a void and help more people live in the dignity and security of their own homes.”

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Meal prep
